he's done it again.

christen bought a new television. i'm not complaining; it's very pretty. he got a 50" grand wega sony lcd television. very big, very pretty. probably too much for our little apartment, but i talked him out of the 60", so 50" is good enough. :) i got jordan to come over tonight so he can help us move the old one into the dining room or so until we can get rid of it. christen wants to give it to his father if he wants it, but i hope he sells it to a friend instead. he could use the money toward this monster. i hope he gets 600-700 for the old tv, because it's still in great shape.
anywho.
on a side note, hancock's fabrics called me back and said that i had the experience they were looking for but could only pay me 6.50 an hour. $6.50 an hour as an assistant manager! holy cow! how can they pay management that little and still be in business? geez. so no job. i guess i'll stay stressed here for nearly double that.

did'ya miss me? did'ya?

i know i know; i haven't been faithful. to my blog, i mean. its been a long time but what can you do -- i know you want more of me, so here i am... naked. but not really. and anyhow, you can't see me, so i can type naked if i want. i just have to wash my hands first. hehehe (naughty laugh)
so anyhow, i've gotten a lot done in the past few weeks. i finally have two great beautiful round wood end tables and a great big brown chair some stuff on the walls and a monk's cloth beige tablecloth on which i put a nice reddish brown husk basket that now has oranges and bananas and some tasty tomatoes and peppers that richard gave me in it. (i'm making salsa tonight) the tablecloth is really just some fabric that i bought because i wasn't happy with any of the ones they sold at old time pottery or walmart and the ones at penny's were unbelieveably expensive and they still didn't have the right size. who spends $30 on a tablecloth? oi. so i spent $10 on some lovely beige fabric and threw it on the table, only because i really don't like the table to begin with, but now that we have some decently matching furniture, the white tabletop doesn't go at all. enter beige tablecloth. woohoo!
so jordan, you have to come over. i bought you diet coke.
i also applied for a new job, at a place i know no one will ever visit me. at least, none of my friends. i might see my ex-fiance's mother though. i applied to be an assistant manager at hancock's fabrics. i love that place, and it would so get me out of the hell that is OD, and push me to get on with my life. so i hope i get called.
i really feel that i should be working on my writing, but being the lazy woman that i am, i choose, well, not to. there are salsas to be made, video games to play, blogs to write (though i haven't been keeping up with that part of the bargain), crappy books to read, good books to read, bowling to go to, work to go to (yeah, i've tried getting out of it, but the straps are too tight) and on and on et cetera et cetera ad nauseum. on the bright side, i've been reading a great deal. besides my guilty pleasure barbara michaels reading, i've also been reading lots of tasty morsels of books, that unfortunately have no mates because i've been hooked on too many authors' first books. you know how hard it is to wait for someone to write something else when it takes me 1 1/2 days to read their first great book? it's like waiting for, well, me to write.
so here it is and i don't want to be yelled at for it.
i don't want to vote.
why do we need a president. can we just kill them all off? i've been trying to reregister to vote so i'm registered over here rather than having to drive all the way out to wesley chapel to exercise my rights, but really, is it worth it? i know i know, i detest bush with all my being, but is kerry really the best we could scrape out of the barrel? the man ... sucks. i pleade the 5th, on nov. 2.
