So I lied and i can't get off my butt.

I think I'm not leaving for a little bit, and I don't really feel like doing the things I should be doing, like grocery shopping since I have nothing in the house (we emptied out the fridge before the trip so things wouldn't go bad and even though we've been home for a week neither of us has had the drive to do any of that stuff) or cleaning or ... well anything. So I'm blogging. Hoorah!
This week has seesawed between interesting and drab. Thursday night L, Christen and I were totally irresponsible and went out (woohoo!) for dinner at The Garden where I had a nice pasta and Christen a nice piece of chicken and L a divine porkchop, had too much wine and went to a cute little venue called The Bank. Evidently it used to be a bank and now does local music and art shows. It was quite empty but it was nice to get out, and I knew someone in one of the bands, whom I didn't know had a band but is totally the type, I suppose. At work he lounges and listens to his iPod all day (when he's not working, of course) and I had never heard him speak or seen him smile so for a bit I wasn't entirely sure it was him. L says the place fills up usually, so I'm sure we'll go back again. It was a neat little place.
Last night I spent some time recklessly shopping with Other April and Stacy from work, and had a marvelous time spending too much money (and giftcards). My objective was to buy lingerie for the bride-to-be for her shower this weekend, which I did, as well as getting myself a charming peach see-through negligee that was on clearance at Macy's (I've actually never owned a piece of lingerie, so I felt I needed it). I also got a jean skirt and a pretty lavender top at The Loft (I had a coupon!) and 2 pairs of shoes at the new DSW. I'll take pictures. :) I also got a pair of shoes for L because I know of her fondness for polka dotted shoes, and these are adorable. As a matter of fact, she may already own them but this way they don't disappear before she's able to get them. :)
I dropped by Target this morning to get pretty wrapping paper for Shea's gift (yes I know I could have done my grocery shopping while I was there, what's your point?) and found a divine roll of glittery ivory paper. I now have glitter all over my living room, but I maintain that it's worth it. The gift is so pretty! I adore a good wrap-job :)

These are the times when having a kid that drives comes in handy--'cause you can make THEM go to the store :)

Michele sent me. And I understand wanting to do fun things but not grocery shopping. I loathe grocery shopping and avoid it at all costs. But eventually my tummy rebels and holds me at starvation point and makes me go.

Take care

Michele sent me to you, Princess of the Frogs. BTW, having a blog named 'blog' is interesting.

I've never seen much purpose in lingerie but I know many others fail to share my opinion on that matter. In any case, I'm sure it's a valuable addition to your wardrobe, FP.

Hi, Michele sent me.

I would love to say "remember to take pictures," but alas, oyu've heard it before. I guess all I can say is "remember to take some more pictures."
