A job offer.

So they emailed me with a job offer yesterday. I called her back and the job is editing a phone book for three weeks or maybe more. Not exactly what I had in mind, but my first actual job offer. I don't think I'm going to take it, but I told her that I would call her back after I talked to my boss about maybe working nights while I work there during the day. We'll see, and I'll tell you how it goes.

High score last night: 141. Subsequent scores: 118, 107, 101 and 102. I kept going downhill. There's a league on Sunday evenings that I was thinking about joining.

Anywho, I'm going to be late for work if i don't get moving. More later!

Ventured over today from vegasgustan's blog and I have to say I absolutely adore your blog. This is the kind of blog I've been looking to read- keep it up!

VG-- as copied from the email, this is exactly what one does: Responsibilities include reading directory pages in order to identify spelling errors, duplicate listings, heading
Details discrepancies, etc. Must have strong analytical skills, strong decision making skills, extensive previous experience with proof reading.
Experience Required Excellent reading and comprehension skills required. Punctual individual who is very dependable on a daily basis. Previous proofreading skills strongly desired

Additional Comments This is not a difficult task, but one of great importance. It is very tiring to read directory pages all day, so a person not easily tired or distracted would be needed for this position. Mature, self managed person desired.

L-- And I won't be falling asleep, because I decided it was not in my best interests to edit the phone books, so they'll have to edit themselves. Woohoo!

jamie-- Thanks! I like yours too! (sounds like a "i'll show you mine if you show me yours," sort of thing doesn't it?) Teehee.

Do you think I am good enough for a league??? I was considering looking into one but was not sure how to go about it.
